Power Market Gas Station
Power Market in Woodland establishes a flood-resilient roadside prototype that brings fueling, convenience retail, food service, car wash, and EV charging together within one coordinated development.
Located on a corner site adjacent to the Interstate 5 southbound ramp, the project is anchored by an approximately 4,200 SF Power Market convenience store incorporating a full-size Papa Sal’s Deli. The fueling canopy provides six pumps and twelve gasoline and diesel dispensers, while the automatic touch-free car wash incorporates filtration and water-reuse technology to reduce water consumption. Level 3 DC fast charging expands the site’s range of vehicle services. Because the property lies within a flood zone, the development was designed for a 200-year flood event, requiring the c-store to be elevated using retaining walls and coordinated grading. Layered massing, storefront glazing, stone, plaster, metal, aluminum, and warm accent materials establish a contemporary architectural language that was developed as a prototype for future H&S Energy convenience-store projects.
