Metro Fusion
Metro Fusion turns a visibility-constrained retail space into a stronger public-facing storefront by extending the store’s architectural identity beyond the limits of the tenant space.
The approximately 4,000 SF retail store is positioned beneath a second-level mezzanine, where limited vertical clearance created challenges for storefront visibility and branding. Rather than allowing the low mezzanine condition to define the store, the design uses the surrounding structure as an extension of the storefront, carrying finishes and architectural elements beyond the tenant boundary and into the public area. This strategy increases the store’s visual presence and creates a more identifiable retail frontage despite the constrained existing condition.
