Montclair Chevron repositions an existing service station as a contemporary automotive and retail destination, integrating fueling, convenience retail, and car wash functions within a compact and highly coordinated site.
Located along Central Avenue, the redevelopment introduces a new approximately 1,750 SF ExtraMile convenience store, a 495 SF automatic car wash, supporting equipment spaces, and an updated Chevron fueling environment. The architecture combines brick masonry, smooth stucco, metal detailing, broad storefront glazing, and articulated parapet elements to create a cohesive identity across the store and car wash. A taller central entry volume establishes a clear focal point, while lower horizontal masses and canopies help organize the building at a pedestrian scale. Site planning carefully coordinates fueling, parking, car wash circulation, service access, and landscaped edges within the constrained 0.49-acre property, creating an efficient customer experience while giving the station a stronger architectural presence along the street.
